Cookie Policy

Last updated: 6 September 2026

This policy describes the cookies and analytics technologies currently used by Matchroom.

STRICTLY NECESSARY AND PREFERENCE COOKIES

COOKIEPURPOSEDURATION
Supabase authentication cookiesMaintain your signed-in session. Names may include the Supabase project reference and may be split into more than one cookie.Varies with the signed-in session
mr_analytics_consentStores only the current policy version and whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. It contains no visitor, account, campaign or session identifier.180 days
mr_analytics_attributionAfter you accept analytics, stores the first and latest eligible acquisition details: standard UTM source, medium, campaign, content and term values, landing path, referring hostname and capture time. It contains no anonymous visitor UUID.90 days from the latest eligible acquisition

Authentication cookies are required for signed-in features. The consent preference is required to remember and respect your analytics choice.

VERCEL WEB ANALYTICS

Vercel Web Analytics records cookieless page-view and traffic measurements such as the page visited, referrer, approximate location, browser and device type. Vercel states that its visitor hash resets daily and is not used to follow a visitor across websites. This service continues whether you accept or reject optional analytics.

OPTIONAL ANALYTICS

If you select Accept analytics, Matchroom loads Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and sends selected first-party interaction events, such as CTA clicks, paywall views, pick submissions and payment starts.

Matchroom also stores a limited first-party acquisition snapshot after acceptance. It keeps the first eligible touch and the latest tagged or external non-direct touch so consented signups, pools, checkouts and purchases can be measured by campaign. Direct visits do not replace a prior meaningful latest touch. Query parameters outside the listed standard UTM fields are not stored.

GA4 may set cookies including _ga and _ga_* to distinguish browsers and sessions. Google documents a default lifetime of up to two years, although browser controls and configured settings can shorten it.

If you reject optional analytics, GA4 is not loaded, optional Matchroom browser events are not sent and acquisition attribution is not persisted. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings. Withdrawing consent stops future optional collection and Matchroom attempts to remove GA and attribution cookies set on its own domain.

OPERATIONAL RECORDS

Matchroom also records required account, pool, participation, checkout, purchase, refund and entitlement events to operate the service, maintain security and keep reliable business records. These are not controlled by the optional analytics choice and are not advertising cookies.

WHAT WE DO NOT USE

Matchroom does not use Facebook Pixel or social-media advertising cookies. This consent system does not create a persistent visitor or marketing profile identifier.

YOUR CHOICES

Use the permanent Cookie settings control in the site footer to accept, reject or change optional analytics. Browser settings can also block or delete cookies, but blocking authentication cookies will prevent signed-in features from working correctly.
