Terms and Conditions

Matchroom ("we," "us," "our") is an entertainment and administration software tool operated by Matchroom, England.

Matchroom is a digital pool management tool. It allows users to organise and participate in sports prediction pools for entertainment purposes. Matchroom is not a gambling operator, bookmaker, lottery operator, or betting intermediary. Matchroom does not accept, hold, process, or distribute any monetary stakes, wagers, or prizes on behalf of any user. Any financial arrangements between pool participants are entirely private matters between those individuals and are entirely outside the scope of these Terms and the Matchroom platform.

By creating an account or using the Matchroom platform in any way, you agree to these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

You may use Matchroom if you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the platform complies with any laws applicable to you in your location.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@getmatchroom.app if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You agree not to use Matchroom to:

• Process, collect, or distribute real money stakes or prizes through the platform
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute any data from the platform without permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
• Upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Use the platform in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation

All content, design, code, and materials on Matchroom are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without our prior written consent. Your pool data and prediction history remain yours; we do not claim ownership of content you create.

We aim to keep Matchroom available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the service temporarily for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will endeavour to provide advance notice where possible via the in-app announcement banner.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Matchroom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or disputes arising from pool results. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Matchroom uses third-party services including Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and API-Football (sports data). We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of these services. Sports results data is provided by third parties; in the event of a data error, we will correct settled results as soon as reasonably practicable.

Pool results are settled automatically based on official match results from our data provider. In the event of a postponed, abandoned, or voided match, the pick for that match will be voided and the round scored accordingly. We do not arbitrate disputes between pool participants about private financial arrangements.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and via an in-app announcement at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
